Consensual? Yes. Safe or Sane? Hell no!
Passed Out and Twitching is NEVER Good.
Those were my thoughts as they gathered around her. Her Dom stood watching (seemingly on the verge of panic). Her convulsions subsided and she slowly began to respond. He looked at the group watching the Scene, held out his hand and declared:
“I assure you, she’s alright. Everything’s alright!”
What they’d done was this:
2 Doms wrapped a few nice coils around her neck, set a proper release rope and hoisted her to the very tips of her toes until she passed out. (That is after the assisting Dom reminded the Dom to center his sub under the hoist so she wouldn’t swing…a big problem).
It took a good few minutes for the sub to completely recover…before the did it again, to her.
Did this scene look cool. Yes.
Did this scene show an incredible amount of trust. Yes.
Was this scene a bad idea in a mixed group of experienced and inexperienced Lifestylers? YES!
What are your thoughts?

Was it a bad idea doing this in a group mixed with the inexperienced.. yes i think it was. There are too many idiots out there that will say, “That was cool.. we have to try that.” So yeah it was a bad decision to do it there, but I'm assuming the people involved in the scene have done this many times and have that sort of relationship with each other. That at least is a good thing.
Agreed.
I have no issues with the “activity” (although it was pretty clear the Dom
wasn't in control and hadn't really thought it through…even if he had done
before).
I do have the same concerns as you just raised. This was *not* the place for
a…well…”public hanging”.
Believe me, there are some VERY edgy activities I enjoy, some I have been
forbidden to EVER do (a later post…maybe). So I love seeing things that
dance and twirl right along that sharp little edge.
But I have some medical experience and knowledge. I have been elbow deep in
blood and trauma and bad things in non-play situations (accidents on
freeways, streets, etc.) I have had to pull people away from death and hold
them until the ambulance arrives…but I was trained (and trained others)
for that.
DarlingEvil was trained and worked in hospitals. She knows far more than I
ever will about these things.
Unfortunately, others observing said scene may not…and may not have the
common sense to realize this could be above their scope. I've now spoken
with several in attendance…they all agree it was something that shouldn't
have been done at that party.
What I haven't mentioned…is this was done at a previous party and the DM
stopped it cold. This time, different DMs…who did nothing. But that was
their decision, and I'll respect that, even if I disagree.
Thanks for your comment! I look forward to more.

Yes I saw that same scene; the group I arrived with and another group with whom we scened muttered amongst ourselves running down the potential hazards, the first of which being the coils of rope around her neck and the hazards it posed to rescue if it became necessary. Not to mention the hazards to the larynx and hyoid bone (things that break in strangulation). After she was lowered and the ropes removed, the damage to the surface of her neck was all the validation we needed. It was enough to make us as a group, leave.
And yes; it has been discussed. I sincerely suggest you inquire with the participants of that scene to gain your own answers as their levels of experience.
Certainly not everything is as it appears.
I've just been asking around casually to hear the various
reactions…and they have generally been voices of concern or “just
too far” or “not something for a general audience”.
We left (like you did) shortly after the scene.
As for the “Experience” level of the person conducting the scene. If
you watched closely, there were several instances where that was
apparent. Regardless, I am pretty familiar with the Dom in question's
past and depth of knowledge…sometimes the flash is just more
impressive than the bang.
I am also one who feels if the scene is consentual I'm not going to stop anyone from their path. However, I felt uneasy with such a dangerous scene being performed in a public venue. If something had gone wrong everyone at the party would have been in jeapordy…..not just the people doing the scene.
Would have been better if they'd contacted the host of the space to do a private scene using the equiptment.
Bullet,
Heheh, what? Don't want to be on the news at 10?
Aye, it's not a wise decision to do scenes walking that close to the edge at
a “public” party.
Thanks for the comment and visit!
