Something sets it off.

A slow, small bomb in the distant catacombs of mind; a shock-wave rippling out – half liquid/half ghost – fully determined.

Once detonated, its effect is permenant.

It is time to Calibrate. I’ve re-defined much of my Kinky-self this past 52 weeks. Why not tick through the various lists and solidify a few of those changes?

This time we’re going to talk a bit about space.

When making your own dungeon you have to make the best with what you have, since most of us don’t have the luxury of making a custom dungeon from scratch.

Here, my friends, are a few of the basics to consider:

1. Is this going be a “Transparent Dungeon”? Meaning: Once your done with dirty deeds, do you need the space to easily transform into something harmless?
2. What are your main activities going to be? Meaning: If you love suspension, your needs will be different than someone with a love of fireplay or a love of throwing a single-tail.
3. The “Touches what make it special”. Meaning: Sound-proofing? “Dexter” brand kill-room plastic wrap? Fire extinguishers? IP Cameras?

Once you’ve defined the vision, it’s time to make the plan. Write it down, draw it, gather your resources and start.

Here’s the beauty of a home Dungeon…you can always revise! Start simple and build up.  Do it in stages, it doesn’t have to happen all at once.

• Fondest Scene?
• Describe your favorite toy…why?

I’ll be the first to admit.

Get me in a room with a couple of really sick and twisted Kinky folk. Lube the situation with some basic chatter and before the clock can roll more than five minutes devious things begin to happen.

It starts with simple talk. A basic skeleton forms, we throw tendon, muscle, skin at it. Soon it’s a breathing, living beast of evil intent. A group Scene is born!

Gather the victims, pull the supplies, make it happen. A chorus of screams is one of the most beautiful and satisfying things in my world. I love it. I start laughing wildly as I work – a maniacal smile cracking across my face.

Beautiful.

Synergy.

Momentum.

A funny thing happened during the recording of our upcoming Episode 9 of the DungeonPlace FetishCast.

I had to make a serious decision about a serious topic.

As we were discussing the topic it became very apparent the dimensions of what we were talking about were far more personal than the original “headline” suggested. It’s pretty normal for a discussion to go a bit off the rails…but in this case we laid down our own track and built a brand new station!

After sitting with the discussion for a few hours (and an email and a discussion or two) it became obvious there was a decision to be made.

DarlingEvil and I talked it over and decided to pull the entire topic and discussion from the Podcast.

Never thought I’d do that.

This was a civil discussion. We’re not talking scandal or revelations of destruction. What made this decision necessary was the fact that this Podcast has become much larger than we thought. It’s International.

As such we sometimes have to look at the impact of what we’re discussing. Is it relevant to the larger audience? And will it negatively impact the Community we live in?

In the end, those two questions held the larger answer.

So, if you hear us talk about 3 segments and only hear 2 discussed…you’ll know why.

But trust me…those two topics alone will give you PLENTY to think about.,

It has taken a while to reclaim the space, but we finally got around to doing it.

The Dungeon seems to have its own gravity, pulling junk, life-items and storage into it’s center. If sudden space is needed, that’s what’s taken…the space in the dungeon.
