The brain is wandering with the seasons today. As Fall approaches, I start thinking of darker scenes. Those visions and fantasies in action that push Western psyche past Taboo — into squirm and fear.
I have visions of shifting one or two witnesses into cluster-fuck overdrive.
Planning? Yes. But I’m one who strives for simplicity. I won’t make something into a Circus Sideshow unless that benefits the scene itself. That’s sometimes done to cover a Dom’s lack of skill – cheap paint covering a bad build. Simplicity adds to the impact itself.
I asked this question on FriendFeed yesterday and got a fairly typical response. It was simply a response from a fairly “vanilla” audience. So I ask a more “Kink-centric” audience the question.
When do you consider a relationship “Open”?
Is it the act of letting go of your partner while they play in a Scene with another?
Is it you or your partner participating in the various acts of sex in all it’s various and wonderful forms with another?
I’m not talking about Polyamory. I’m addressing the concept of Open relationships. Engaging in Play (provide your own definition of that word) without the additional attachment you find in Poly situations.

After watching a scene, a friend of mine was putting her “toys” back into her box. There they were… a pair of Leg Irons. My feet shot out, my mouth salivated, my pulse raced. I know in the podcast I give the advice to folks new to the Scene “Run” from “Sir Lord Master Dommy Dom”. But does that mean anyone with “Sir” in front of their Scene Name is a bad thing?
